Writing Analysis

Tag: Internet discoveriesChrissara @ 8:19 am

Sometimes it does not matter what you write. Some people just look at handwriting and claim to know every characteristic about the person who wrote it. I am not one of those. But on the internet I found this site, which says it does exactly that. You are given a text and then let someone else answer a questionnaire on style, spaces between the lines and many other things. And out comes an insight into your character. Supposedly. Since I had a half hour left before I needed to leave towards the city, I decided to give it a shot. The given analysis is in blue; my comment in italic.

The worldcup road 2010

Tag: Currently on top,Delights,Internet discoveriesChrissara @ 12:04 pm

Germany made it into the semi-finals! Amazing! Which means that we will definitely see two more games. And so far, Germany has done well in the round of the last 16. Here a short overview…

Round of 16 – England vs Germany 1-4: The ball was not in the goal.

(via twitter.com)

___________

Quarter final – Argentina vs Germany 0:4: Taken apart in bits and pieces.

(via twitter.com)
___________

And a preview for tonight:

Semi final – Germany vs Spain (my prediction: 3:2): The Spanish will be squeezed out and squished!

(via)

By the way: Paul was also wrong for his prediction at the Euro Cup ’08 final (Germany vs Spain). My theory: He is simply nervous, when it comes to this specific match, because Spanish love Calamari. That confuses him and makes him predict wrong ;) Enjoy tonight’s match and: Go Germany!

Virtual World Cup madness

Tag: Internet discoveriesChrissara @ 2:26 pm

The world cup is in full swing and you are confronted with many world cup articles and gimmicks – especially on the internet. Here a really small list of things, which I have discovered so far. If you really need them and how helpful they are – judge for yourself.

Mexican wave instead of  Poking (picture: StudiVZ.net)

Poking is totally yesterday during the world cup. Totally in on the other hand is the Mexican wave, as seen here on the German equivalent of Facebook. But the representative figures on the left do not seem like they are in the middle of a Mexican wave. Hm.

Stadium atmosphere (via zeitonline.de)

Many blogs have changed their design for the world cup with soccer balls and flags of their home team. If my world cup blog series is not enough for you, please follow the new link to my blog (stadium atmosphere guaranteed!): stadium atmosphere on mind-blogging.de

Google the world cup (picture: google.com)

Currently, if you google “world cup”, on the bottom the regular “Goooogle” turns into “Gooooal”. Noticed it just by accident. Hilarious!

Twitter-Mania (twitter.com)

Shortly before the world cup, Twitter doubled its capacity. But a breakdown during the world cup supposedly is still possible, since a complete mania has entered the Twitter-world. Hashtags for teams, like #ger or #usa, now have small flags, while tweeting #worldcup makes a small soccer ball appear. To complete this, there is a Twitter World Cup platform, where all tweets to the games are collected. Twitter goes all the way with the World Cup.

Virtual replay (picture: guardian.co.uk)

And who tops the twitter service? Correct, the English. On the online site from The Guardian, you can get a virtual replay through Twitter statuses from every world cup game.

Happy 30th Birthday Pac-Man

Tag: Delights,Internet discoveriesChrissara @ 12:34 pm

Still half asleep I turned on my Mac this morning, with a cup of Cappuccino next to me, to check my emails and read this and that on the internet. When I opened Google, my heart started beating faster, as soon I saw today’s Google logo:

The reason for this Google’s design, which supposedly will be online for the whole weekend, is Pac-Man’s 30th anniversary.

And my heart beat even faster, when I realized that you are actually able to play the game there! Because Pac-Man is one of my fondest child memories.
