Commit to Color 2010 – #1: Blue
Since I couldn’t identify with the Project 52 anymore, because I didn’t like the figure that had to be on every picture in retrospect I decided to take part in a different photo project. I do want to pursue photography, get a routine in it and gain more experience, so I do like participating in projects like these.
The photo project is called Farbe bekennen (eng: COMMIT TO COLOR). In 30 weeks you are supposed to display 30 colors on photographs. (To read all the participation conditions, click on the logo on the left.)
I really like the idea, since I always have been fascinated and enthusiastic about colors, ever since I was little. Even my Crayons were sorted by color. And also today my clothes, especially my tops, can be found in my closet according to the color spectrum.

And since the project actually started on Monday already, here is my first photo. The first color in the project is BLUE. I did not have to think long about what I wanted to photograph. All I had to do was to open up my closet:

These royal-blue high heels were bought in Winter 2008, matching a dress I wore to a wedding in January 2009, which took place in Florida. Unfortunately I tripped the day before the wedding, so I could not wear the shoes. And I have only worn them once ever since the purchase. That is why I am using the chance and giving these shoes the glory they deserve. Because they are really, really, pretty! Underneath is one of my t-shirts, in almost the same shade of blue.
