Orientation – Radio-Internship: Week 1 1/2
Actually I assumed that I had a good orientation sense. But yesterday it was different. After my tour through the place in my first week, I could find all the important things blindfolded. I had no problem what so ever to find the coffee maker, bathroom and my work place. But the hard part came, when I had to settle some paperwork and I had to go to the second floor.Of course my boss gave me directions how to get to this Ms’ office. But somehow I must have mixed up my left from my right and started out in the wrong direction. I walked to the complete end of the hall to realise that the office wasn’t there where it’s supposed to be. I then walked all the way down the other way, to come to the same conclusion. It was then when a lady came out of one office and asked “Can I help you? Who are you looking for?”. After explaining to her, who I was looking for, she escorted me to the office right next to the staircase, of which I thought wasn’t an office at all… So much on orientation.
