Via last.fm you also can get recommondations of music, which you might enjoy. This happens either when you browse the artists you have already listened to, or when you listen to the radiostation “Your Library”. Last week while listening to that radiostation, is how I was introduced to an artist Five Times August. Immediately I liked one song, which then turned into my most frequent song of the week. It is a simple, good mood track.
This week (Jan 18 – 24) I listened to his track “Do It Again” six times (*click*).
The third week of the project has passed. The third topic was friendship.
For the past years, Duckie was residing in the bathroom, especially near the bathtub. Because that is where she always was able to spend time with her best friend: Water. And of course, a few bubbles are always mandatory. This time you will find her easily, since Duckie feels quite comfortable there and is more outgoing. But see for yourself:

Three movies in one week – it has been a long time ago that I have done that! While sitting in the movie theatre waiting for “13 Semester” to start, I saw the preview of Bruce Willis’ new movie “Surrogates“. When I made my January-Filmlist, I must have somehow missed this movie, since I usually like movies with Bruce Willis. Generally I have to say that my interests in the movies in January have changed, due to reports from friends. Anyways, let me get to the movie “Surrogates”.

“13 Semester” was not on my January Filmlist, but since it plays at a University very close by and a few of my friends even study there, we decided to go and see it.

Finally I can check off one of the films on my January-Filmlist: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. First of all I would like to say that I saw the movie in the original version (English) and that I will try not to spoil too much, if anyone who reads this, is planning to go to the movies him/herself. ;)

As every other week, I listened to pretty much music this week. According to my last.fm stats, this week especially from one artist: John Mayer. I have been listening to his music for around a year now; I discovered one of his songs while watching a House M.D. episode on television and was immediately captured. For those who like nice, enjoyable singer/songwriter music with a touch of rock, I can only recommend him!
This week (Jan 11 – 17) I listened to two of songs each three times: “No Such Thing” (*click*) and “Dreaming With a Broken Heart” (*click*).
Alrighty, the second topic for Project 52 was announced last Sunday, my contribution is following today, so that I am not behind in the first week already, since the third topic will be announced tomorrow!
As you can see from the title of this post, the second topic was numbers. In German, the word for numbers could also mean the verb paying, so it is kind of a double-interpretation. And that is how I got my idea for the second photo.
There are enough games, in which you can be rich for a short period of time and have lots of money involved. Even Duckie wanted to money-bathe and so I fulfilled her wish. But see for yourself – Can you find her?

This week the first A-Journal of the year 2010 was published. The 36th issue is all about the Third Space. “Third Space” is a term from the Culture Studies and describes the situation of a person, who was raised with two different cultures and thus is neither one of them completely. Someone, who lives in between two worlds.
Since I myself am one of those people (German-American heritage), I wrote an exclusive report on my experiences. If you want to know what goes on in my head and heart, continue reading.
The first week of the new year is over and I decided to post the song, which I listened to most frequently every week. Maybe this way someone discovers a new song, or is reminded of a ‘good ol’ one. And I keep up to date on my music taste. I simply love last.fm!
This week (Jan 04 – 10): Patrice – “Dove of Peace” (*click*)
This probably is not a really good representation, but for a broad overlook it is alright. The most frequent used words of the English language were used.

I will try to do this once a month, to see if there is any improvement.
